I'm feeling a little more random today than most days and that's kinda scary. Maybe it's just the excitement of the fact that it's Friday and I won't have to work tomorrow. Yup, that's it.

Obsession update - getting back into cooking. When the year started, I made a vow to myself that I would try a new recipe every 2 weeks. That New Year's Resolution lasted about 2 months...which is pretty much when all New Year's Resolutions end. I did finally try a new recipe last night and it was pretty awesome. It was a Spicy Sausage and Rice Casserole. Yummydelicious. Was a little on the spicy side but again, starting to adventure into spicier foods now that my heartburn but actually gall stones are gone.

Now that I've had one recipe that was a success, I feel like cooking up all kinds of delicioso foods. On the top of my priority list is a Puerto Rican dish (localized) - Gandule Rice. I almost have all the ingredients but am still trying to hunt down the Gandule Beans (Pigeon Peas). Second on my list is Jambalaya. I don't know why because I don't crave Jambalaya, but I'd like to try and make it. My friends and family are my guinea pigs...lucky them. I don't know what it is with me and rice dishes but I also want to get a recipe for a great Kim Chee Fried Rice. Just need a good rice dish to add to my arsenal I guess.

First the reading obsession and now the cooking. I'm really not a nerd I'll have you know. I like getting shit faced and partying as much as the next person or maybe even more than the next person. (Defensive much?) Man, this blog is making me seem like a total housewifey type of which I am totally not, I'm just...weird I guess. No wait, weird is harsh...I'm unique. I'm turning from a beer drinking, cussing, tattooed freak into a obsessive book reading, babysitting, crafting, home chef. When the HELL did that happen?

Note to self, get some new hobbies.
